We've Joined NICE!

We’re proud to announce that the Qualicum Beach Multi-Use Cinema Society has joined the National Independent Cinema Exhibitors (NICE), a national network that supports independent cinemas and film exhibitors across Canada.

Independent cinemas across the country have a lot in common — from navigating film booking and technology to audience development and community engagement — and NICE creates a space where cinemas can share ideas, resources, and experience.

It also helps put Qualicum Beach on the map within Canada’s broader independent film community. As we continue developing our community cinema program and future permanent home, being part of this network gives us access to industry knowledge, partnerships, advocacy, and opportunities that will strengthen what we can offer locally.

We’re excited to learn from other independent cinemas across the country — and to share what we’re doing here in Qualicum Beach.
