Legend has it that years ago, downtown Qualicum Beach was being over-run with skateboarders, performing their “awful tricks,” which prompted a local newspaper article with the headline Terror in the Square! Recently, advocacy group @qb_skaters has adopted this tongue-in-cheek slogan in their awareness campaign for the dire need of a safe, updated skateboard park in Qualicum Beach.

In collaboration with Skull Skates and @qb_skaters, we will be showing the award-winning 2002 documentary Dogtown and Z-Boys, directed by Stacy Peralta. We will also show two film shorts from The National Film Board: The Devil’s Toy (1966) and The Devil’s Toy Redux Victoriaville (2015).

Doors open: 5:00pm for seating and concession Showtime: 5:30pm

Admission $7.00/person. Children 3 yrs and under free provided they are sitting on an adult’s lap.

No ticket sales at the door. Seating is limited.
